NEWS: PSN will be offline


The PlayStation Network will be offline on march 1 from 5 pm (GMT +1) until 7 a.m. (GMT +1) the next day for maintenance. Contrary to the last few times maintenance was planned, players can NOT remain online when logged in earlier.

NEWS: Zone of the Enders HD collection this autumn!


Konami has confirmed that the Zone of the Enders HD Collection will probably be released this autumn on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.


NEWS: Pokémon Black & White 2 to release in Europe this year


Two new Pokémon games were announced for Nintendo DS this weekend.

Today we’re glad to announce that both games will be up for sale this year, all over the world.

NEWS: Mass Effect 3 pre-orders are a big success!


The amount of pre-orders for Mass Effect 3 is a lot more than those for Mass Effect 2 in the same period. This was made public by Will Graham, employee of EA.

The exact amount of pre-orders was not told. He did state that, for the first time in the series, the game is launching for three platforms at the same time. Mass Effect 2 came to Xbox360 and PC first, and a few months later to PS3.

Casual gaming was something that bloomed with the arrival of Nintendo’s Wii and the massive worldwide success of the smartphones. You can divide casual games into two different sections however. Games like Just Dance, that are being developed with a lot of budget and are up for sale in stores, or games like Angry Birds. Where you’ll still have to pay an amount of cash to pay the full version, games like Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja are extremely successful. But what’s the reason for that particular success? What is it that made this games icons of the gaming industry nowadays?

NEWS: Assassin’s Creed Revelations: Ottoman Edition Announced


Ubisoft have confirmed that an Ottoman Edition of Assassin’s Creed Revelations will release on the 30th March. In this addition, as well as the full game, buyers will also receive all the DLC packs for the game. These are the Ancestor’s Character Pack, The Mediterranean Traveller Pack and The Lost Archive DLC.

NEWS: Pokémon Black & White 2 announced


Game Freak announced that they will be releasing Pokémon Black & White 2 by the end of this year in Japan.

Both games will only be available for Nintendo DS. Nintendo 3DS owners will have to wait a little longer for the arrival of Pokémon.

Review: MotorStorm RC (PS3)


The Motorstorm series is well known for its brutal off-road racing. So when I first heard about the nature of Motorstorm RC I can admit I was a little uncertain about the new approach. In fact it even caused me to hesitate whether to purchase the game or not. In the end though I am very glad I did.

It’s a game which really grasps the element of fun.

NEWS: Three New Max Payne 3 PC Screens


Three new PC screenshots for Rockstar’s upcoming Max Payne 3 have been released today. Max Payne 3 is one of 2012’s most anticipated titles and will be hitting the shelves on June 1st. Rockstar has also said more screens and information of the game will follow. 

NEWS: Killzone 3 Multiplayer For Free


VG247 has picked up from the latest PlayStation Blogcast that a proportion of the Killzone 3 multiplayer will be free on the PSN store next week.  The download will allow you to play all game modes and maps, however, there will be a level cap.
